Hospice and Homeless! Government Has A Tough Time With That

Jim Dabakis - Saturday, June 20, 2015

On one side you have people, homeless people, dying on Salt Lake's streets. On the other hand you have basic expectations of all buildings in the City. I have great respect for SLC Councilman Kyle LaMalfa. And also I think that INN Between Executive Director Kim Gorrea is Mother Theresa in blue jeans.

This morning, Kyle and I will be arranging an emergency meeting this week with Kim, the state Bureau of Health Facilities Licensing, Certification and Resident Assessment. The state elected officials in the area, the architect, city planning-zoning people, a lawyer or two, building and construction folks and we will stay at it until we can make the magic happen.

That's what we do in Utah!
